GETTING THERE
By Air
Two or three times a day winter and summer, Syros is served by the internal flights of Olympic Airways. The flights takes about 30 minutes.

By Ship
From Piraeus: morning and afternoon daily with ships of the line (4 hrs.) or catamaran (2 hours).

From Rafina: 4-5 times a week with with ships of the line (3.30 hours) and Flying Dolphins (2.30 hours).

Syros has connections to the neighboring islands (Tinos, Mykonos, Paros, Naxos) more than once a day. It has almost daily connections to the further ones and 2-3 times a week with the Western Cyclades (Milos, Serifos, Sifnos, Kea, Kythnos) with ships that start from Syros. There are also steamship connections with Thessaloniki, Skiathos, Crete and the Dodecanese.

Tourist Information
This can be obtained from the tourist offices in Ermoupoli and the villages. Throughout the summer there are information bureaus run by the Union of Hotel Owners on the waterfront at Ermoupoli [Tel +30 (22810) 80356 and 87360] and at EOT (National Tourist Organization) Tel +30 (22810) 82375.

Transportation on the Island
The buses of the public bus company (KTEL) serve all the areas near Ermoupoli (Ano Syros, Vrontado, Dili) and all the villages.

During the summer months, buses leave every half hour from Ermoupoli headed for all the villages on the ring road, Talanda, Galissas, Finikas, Poseidonia, Megas Gyalos, Vari and Mana.

Another line serves Kini. There are frequent buses to the villages in the interior: Pagos, Vissas, Parakopi, Chroussa and Danakos. Information: KTEL Tel +30 (22810) 82575.
