

hen you enter the port of Sifnos-Kamares you are ringed by mountains-high, bare mountains, topped by a white chapel or a monastery. On one side of the bay are the houses, the hotels and the shops, and, at the far end, a beach.

![]() | he bay is most attractive and its beach sheer temptation, but the real beauty of the island lies on a plateau which is reached by bus, 6 km from the port. There you will encounter a unique spectacle: the whole of the plateau with its olive trees is covered with sparkling white villages which virtually blend into one another: where one ends, another begins. This sight is unique in the Cyclades.
