t starts from the sand beach of Alevkantra and ends at the edge of the old neighbourhood of Kastro (Castle). Houses built over the sea with polychrome porches, balconies, windows, doors and stairways, wooden terraces under which the waves break, lend a special flavour to this part of Mykonos. It is the neighbourhood beloved of artists, many of whom have immortalized it in beautiful paintings, thus in their own way contributing to the spread of the island's fame. |
