General view
Kythera is situated between Peloponesse and Crete, close to the shores of Laconia encompassed by both the Aegean and Ionian seas.
It is quite a large island covering 278 square km, with more than 60 villages and a population of approximately 3.000.
Most of the villages are scattered into groups in the central hilly parts of the island.

Kythera offers a variety of landscapes with dense vegetation in the numerous valleys, suntrenched beaches with a caleidoscope of colors to the East, steep cliffs with a rugged coastline to the west, low lying mountains with monasteries.
A remote Paradise of absolute beauty is still there!...
