Harbor Master's Office
Whether you have a boat of your own or want the most up-to-date information on the arrivals and departures of ships and Flying Dolphin hydrofoils, the Harbor Master's Office and its staff is where you will find assistance. The Harbor Master's building is located on Akti Koundourioti.

Hospitals - First Aid
The hospital on Kos, at 32 Ippokratus Street (Tel. +30 22420-22300), as well as the regional clinics at Antimacheia (Tel. +30 22420-51230), Asfendiou (Tel. +30 22420-29202), Kardamania (Tel. +30 22420- 91202), Kefalos (Tel. +30 22420- 71230) and Pyli (Tel. +30 22420-41230) and a considerable number of pharmacies can be found on the island will cover all your needs for first aid and medical care.

Post Office
The Post Office on Kos has a full network of branches as well as other places under contract at which you can send or receive letters and postal money orders and make use of all the modern postal services. The main offices of ELTA (The Greek Post Office) are on Xanthou Street.

OTE (Greek Phone Company)
OTE has a complete network of branches on the island which are found in combination with many public cardphones. In its main offices on Xanthou Street (Tel. +30 22420- 22499) you can avail yourself of its many services such as telephone money orders and telegrams, in addition to making local or long distance calls both within Greece and abroad.

In addition to the services of OTE in Greece, there are also private cellular phone companies in operation. In the town of Kos, you will find shops that rent cellular phones and all the accessories for the better servicing of your needs.

Banks - Exchange
Kos has branches of most Greek banks which work in cooperation with the most important foreign and international banks.

There are also certain shops where foreign currency can be changed into drachmas.
