South of Piraeus
going down to the coastal road, next to Kastella is Neo Phaliro. The Stadium of Peace and Friendship, where athletic meets, concerts and exhibitions are held, is located there. After Moschato comes the Delta of Phaliro and the race track. Flisvos has areas designed for strolling, and many hotels, discos, and pastry shops.

Alimos and Elliniko is where both airports lie. Then come the elegant southern suburbs of the capital such as Glyfada, Voula, and Vouliagmeni.
The commercial and economic activity in these suburbs can be compared in intensity and variety with that in the center of the town, while the night-life has an intensity of its own.
These are verdant seaside suburbs full of life and with many hotels, commercial centers, taverns, discos and bars.

One can also find here, fully-organized beaches, luxury villas, boat clubs and schools for water-skiing, scuba and wind-surfing.
Above the beach at Vouliagmeni the road leads after a few meters to the Lake of Vouliagmeni.
The Varkiza with its marina
.
This is a wonderful spot wedged in between high rocks and greenery. The lake has been fashioned into a spa with a hotel and other appropriate installations.

The famed lake of Vouliagmeni . .
It has been officially designated as a therapeutic spa by the Greek National Tourist Organization.
But is also noteworthy for its depth: there is a fissure in one end of it, which has not yet been fathomed and it is a pole of attraction for the more daring.
