The ancient monuments
Funerary monuments and a view of Keramikos, the cemetary of ancient Athens
the history of Attica and its basin, is the source of the unique monuments on the sacred rock of Athens, which is crowned by the temple of Athena, the Parthenon. But the love of the Athenians for the arts, for beauty in all things and above all for their city, expressed itself in dozens of other monuments that radiate from the Acropolis.

these are historical sites such as the Ancient Agora where the concept of democracy was born and came to maturity as a form of government, the Roman Agora which ornaments the neighborhood of Plaka and the Theseio.

Next to it is Kerameikos, the town's ancient cemetery. To the east of the rock of the Acropolis is the Temple of Olympian Zeus, as well as the Ancient Stadium.
Ancient Monumets

Strolling among these monuments, which are natural continuations of the Acropolis, is an extremely impressive experience and will attract the visitor who is searching for the echoes of the ancient city that has still survived down to the present.
