Attica, where ancient Athens developed and created such great things, has come to mean a charismatic and unique site, a place that is blessed.

or visitors, Athens has obvious highlights in the vestiges of the ancient Classical Greek City, stunningly present in the Acropolis and its surrounding archaeological sites.

The historic sites standing throughout the centuries of civilization, symbols of human glory, such as the Parthenon, tempting the visitor to discover Athens glorious past. Despite the fact that urbanization had deaden a large amount of the romantic and noble atmosphere of its glorious past, Athens still remains quite magnificent in its historical center at least, as well as in its suburbs which some of them are really fascinating.

		ven in a short visit, it is a pity to consider Athens purely as the location of ancient sites and museums. However the visit of the traveler to archaeological sites and museums will be a unique life experience and takes enough time.
A few days will be necessary for a brief visit to these places in order to take a taste of Athens incomparable rich history. The "other" Attica and Athens is outside these sites.
